Alright so I’m sitting outside, enjoying the weather in downtown t.o waiting to head over to the Vampire Weekend concert tonight. I’m pretty excited. Enough said.
However, I’m mostly excited about the quality of music my ears have been exposed to this past week or so with the leak of my favorite band’s, The National, fucking stellar album Trouble Will Find Me. The legitimate excitement you get so rarely from a bands upcoming release is comparable to, well nothing for me. And when the album delivers, unlike past disappointments (see King of Limbs), what an exciting moment.
So favorite band’s album leaks with much approval. Another favorite band, VW, releases Modern Vampires of the City a week early and a week before I get to see them and my Lord, yessss. Every review will tell you the same thing and that’s that this album is gold. Sooo good and now even more excited to see them in 2.5 hours.
Oh, and the National live in a month. My ears are so excited and yours will be too upon giving both these records a listen.
